Are you a person who wants more spiritual connection but struggles with the time to do it? If you are a hEarTh-centered magic seeker, cauldron stirrer, grower of green things or parent/grandparent (of any creature) who wants to create meals, medicine and magic with mindfulness and infuse it into your home, you have come to the right place, my dears.
Hi there! I’m Leigh (Mynxie or Waterminx too) and I want to invite you into my home and hearth. I want to share recipes, tips, tricks and information to help you uncover hidden magic in your everyday moments and elevate them to divine connection. Let’s create magic, right here and right now, by mixing ordinary ingredients with magical intentions and looking at our lives a different way, through rose-colored glasses.
Psst: If you don’t like rose, your lenses can be any color you like!
About Me:
I’m a Holistic Health Practitioner, Faerie shaman and hedgewitch. I’m a mother, a cook, a foodie, gardener, tree-hugger, truth-seeker, animal lover, a voracious reader, maker of potions, lotions, tinctures, salves and soaps. I’m a sexual assault survivor and advocate. I’m a healer who’s healing. Sometimes I’m a hot mess with a bottle of wine and a straw!
For 35 years, magical connection to the universe has been my passion. I have studied with teachers that come from many of the world’s theologies and belief systems in my search for the answers to our universal questions. I learned chants, meditations, prayers, songs, dances, rituals, recipes and practices that elevate our consciousness toward that magical, elusive divine connection. I have attended and hosted full moon circles, meditation retreats, Goddess connection retreats, healing circles, peace prayers, earth-grid healing, and shamanic drumming circles.
For 30 years, healing and alternative medicine (aromatherapy, herbalism, Ayurveda, sound healing, massage therapy, energy medicine) was my hobby. Working in cosmetology and then PR/Marcom careers by day as well as raising a family, I attended workshops, classes and correspondence courses in my free time. I am honored to have learned at the knees of some of the world’s best minds on herbal medicine, aromatherapy and alternative medicine, such as Rosemary Gladstar, Susun Weed, Michael and Leslie Tierra, Maggie and Robert Tisserand, Horst Rechelbacher and Deepak Chopra. In 2005, I decided to devote myself to these studies full time and left my career to go to nursing school and Bodyworking School concurrently. There, I believe, I learned the best of both allopathic and alternative philosophies.
